Case Study : Balloons By Design
The Made in Bury Business Academy is an initiative by Made in Bury Limited and sponsored by Bury Council and thebestofbury. The Academy offers workshops and ongoing support for businesses in the borough of Bury who have been trading for less than two years. Members are offered advice on topics, including networking, branding, PR, digital marketing, financials and law, during a 12-month course. Pixelwave Creative has produced testimonial videos documenting the experiences of local businesses that benefited from being part of the Made In Bury Business Academy in 2016, which d have been used to promote future courses and encourage new members.
How we worked with Made In Bury Business Academy
We filmed four members of the 2016 Academy in their workplace to find out more about the funded course and what they took away from their membership, including bespoke balloon decor service Balloons by Design and architectural practice Studio17 Architecture.
We encouraged members to feel relaxed and at ease in front of the camera as they talked about what they had learnt from the Academy, the network opportunities and relationships they were able to form and why they would recommend the course to other Bury-based businesses.
Made in Bury Business Academy used the four testimonial videos to market its 2017 launch event and the short films were also combined into a longer film that was used at the Academy’s second year launch event.
