Introducing Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary as our chosen charity

At Pixelwave Creative, we believe strongly in being part of the community in which we work and live.  Which is why we were recently inspired to choose our first ‘official’ charity – Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary.

We are proud to be associated with Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, a Bury-based charity committed to caring for dogs, cats, equine and farm animals. The Sanctuary is one of the largest of its kind in the North West of England, providing the very best possible care to more than 450 animals.

It was at a Manchester Chamber of Commerce breakfast briefing at the Village Hotel in Bury where we first hatched our plans to support Bleakholt with its fundraising efforts.

Bob Carter, director at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, was presenting to other Chamber members and explained how businesses could support charities.

Pixelwave’s JP explains: “Having heard Bob speak at the Action for Business event in Bury, I immediately recognised the benefits of supporting a charity. I’ve visited the Sanctuary as a family on numerous occasions and we love the service they provide.”

“The thought of supporting a local charity by utilising my video production skills was an obvious choice. I reached out to Bob, initially to offer them a spare sofa I had, but also to discuss my thoughts regarding Pixelwave supporting Bleakholt by offering our video production services to help raise awareness for the Sanctuary.”

We have since filmed and produced a series of videos based on Bleakholt’s high-profile gala Black Tie Ball, hosted by Emmerdale actress and president of Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, Gemma Atkinson.

This partnership continues with Pixelwave adopting Bleakholt as its Charity of the Year, through which we will be updating the video on an ongoing basis and producing new initiatives for the Charity at no cost.

Bob at Bleakholt says: “Pixelwave Creative left no stone unturned in its desire to produce a high-class, professional video for us and JP exceeded all our expectations in every way and all at no cost to Bleakholt. In addition to that, he and his company were such a pleasure to work with and we look forward to working with him in the future.”
